** COMPLETELY STANDALONE **
Discover a brand new race of Alpha males ready to find their mates in a dangerous warrior planet. Sassy women traveling with Gerri Wilder are in for the journey of a lifetime and a mate that will love them through the galaxy. Are you ready?

Grab the next Galaxan romance between a sexy warrior and his fiery mate.

Attention is something Riley Parks usually shies away from, but when she finds herself on a shifter planet in a distant galaxy, attention is exactly what she's getting. Especially from one smokin' hot hunk of a man. Jag. The man sends her body into heat and her mind to a scramble whenever he's near, but she's not having it. No way. A little taste might not hurt, though, right?

Royal prince, warrior, and womanizer, Jag Kasaval has his sights set on Riley. She turns his world upside down and his inner lion is clawing to claim her. Not used to rejection, he's willing to do anything to get his mate. What he didn't expect was a feisty hellcat waiting to be unleashed beneath her quiet exterior.

Riley and Jag are thrown together to help plan a royal wedding and coronation. She refuses to admit Jag is exactly the man she wants, even if matchmaker Gerri Wilder says it's in the cards. In the midst of palace intrigue, Riley's swept up in scandal and danger that drags her beyond the Galaxa she's come to know. With her life in the balance, Jag will have to find her before it's too late or lose her forever.

I do enjoy this series. And I love this author.
ok, with that said,
I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed it. But at the same time it didn't hold my interest.
I mean, when I would sit down and read I was good, but it would take me a bit more time to pick it back up when I had free time.

I loved that Riley didn't just fall into Jag's arms right away. She made him work for it, but then she wouldn't leave his side.
This has the classic part where someone is in trouble and the shifter comes to the rescue. But with Paranormal Romance, it is needed in a sense.
And honestly this book wasn't all about Riley and Jag, it does go back to Ivy and Vander often as they are planning the wedding and coronation.

Bottomline, its a good book.

I have only read book one, in this series before reading this book. I wasn't lost, so you technically can read as stand alone. But recommend that you read as a series, and in order.
On to my thoughts on the story.
I do love the biker witches, you never know what is going to happen or come out of their mouth!!
I can definitely tell Lizzie and Dimitri love each other. they are a very affectionate couple. And as you can tell from the title, they are preggers!!!
I was good with the story, up until Lizzie was actually fighting the spirit. Then I was not interested, but it was decent again for the ending.

Love! I am a big fan of Milly Taiden's, as you have probably figured out (lol).  But I honestly do not Love every book.  That is what is great about this author.  You may not love or like every book, but even those book are good/decent.  And no matter what, you will always pick up the next book she releases.

So, if you have read the other books to this A.L.F.A. series, you definitely have to read this one.
This one had me glued to my kindle. I don't think I did much besides read for the past day.
So much action, and it was great to have the whole ALFA team together in this book.
Candy is such a hard-a$$.

Alisa's Review: Singe White Vampire by Lynsay Sands

Published December 1st 2008

"Lucern." Successful biographer of family, books recently categorized as "paranormal romance." Something of a recluse. Hates crowds, aggressive women. Doesn't like sunbathing, garlicky dinners or religious symbols. Likes old-fashioned values; spicy Mexican dishes; warm, nice-smelling neck; and plump red lips. Stronger than ten men and can vanish in the blink of an eye. Currently unaware he's seeking a woman to share eternity.
"Kate C. Leever." Newest editor of Romance at Roundhouse Publishing. Perky, fun. Has recently discovered a legacy author just dying to be broken out. In fact, her career could take off from it. (The tall, dark, handsome writer just needs to be taken to several romance conventions and introduced to his fans...and stopped from acting so strange in public.) Dislikes "difficult, rude, obnoxious, pig-headed writers." Currently she's met the man of her wildest dreams.
OH, DEAR.

Loved it, I am so happy to be able to go back to the beginning of this series!
Luc, love him even with his old ways. Even with his gruff attitude, but that is because he is bored with life- as soon as he meets up with Kate he comes out of his shell
Luc believes strongly in the old ways, and is not a fan of "modern women" lol. Until Kate.
There is so much humor in this story, and very little danger (especially compared to later books)

Lord of Fortune by Darcy Burke

SBPR-BT-BANNER

Lord_of_Fortune_1800x2700

Lord of Fortune, an all-new historical and romantic standalone from Darcy Burke is LIVE!

Dashing adventurer Penn Bowen is dedicated to preserving Britain’s history and his carefree, bachelor lifestyle. He’s happiest when he’s in pursuit of knowledge and the occasional liaison with the right woman. So he’s more than a little perturbed when the wrong woman inserts herself into his latest quest—proving that a valuable artifact in Oxford’s museum is a fake. Amelia Gardiner is smart and capable...and determined to prove that Penn is wrong about the treasure her grandfather found.
Amelia won’t allow Penn to denigrate her family’s legacy, and she certainly won’t join the ranks of women who throw themselves at his feet. As secretive and dangerous factions infiltrate their hunt, Amelia and Penn must work together to stay one step ahead. But passion ignites between them and suddenly their alliance is more than a simple convenience. When peril strikes too close, they’ll risk everything they hold dear: family, honor, and a chance for the greatest treasure of all—love.

Excerpt

Penn enjoyed watching her animated expression change as she’d relayed the tale. “You’re a romantic.” Her brow pleated for a moment. “Not particularly.” He wasn’t sure he believed her, but he’d have to take her word for it since he barely knew her. Though he hoped they were rectifying that. He did? Did he hope to know her better? Certainly, if it meant gathering information he needed to find the real heart and dagger. As to that—he needed to convince her to accept his partnership, especially if the Order was involved. “The Order’s primary objective is to keep the Thirteen Treasures—and really anything to do with them—from being found or publicized. They want them to remain a legend.” “But one of them is in a museum.” He lifted his right shoulder. “Or not.” She rolled her eyes and pursed her lips. “Does the Order agree with that assessment?” “I can’t say for certain—let me be clear: I am not a member. Members are, for the most part, descendants of the knights.” “How can that be possible if it’s all a legend?” “The Order wants everyone to think it’s all a legend. I didn’t say they believed that.” Mr. Tarleton returned with Penn’s breakfast. After the innkeeper left, Mrs. Forrest shook her head. “That seems ridiculous. What is their reasoning?” “That the treasures are too powerful, that if they were to be found, they would cause strife and conflict.” He sliced off a piece of ham and brought it to his mouth. “War?” She stared at him a moment, and her shoulder twitched as if she suppressed a shiver. “My grandfather told me once that he gave the heart to the museum because it was far too valuable to keep. He feared someone would steal it.” Penn relaxed slightly. Her sharing such a thing with him was progress. Her brow furrowed once more and stayed that way as she spoke. “What he said in the letter… Was he afraid of this Order? Do I need to be concerned?” It was the perfect opportunity to bind her to him, to encourage her reliance, but he’d also said he wouldn’t lie. “You do not need to be afraid. Concern, or wariness, is always a good thing. Even if you decide to associate with me.” She gave him a dark but curious stare. “And what do I need to be wary about with you?” He didn’t think she meant any sort of innuendo, but his brain took that route automatically. Lout. “I don’t plan to steal anything from you. I merely want to share information so that we may get to the heart—pardon the pun—of the matter.” She rolled her eyes again, but this time, the edge of her mouth ticked up with humor. He suppressed a smile before taking another bite of ham. After he swallowed, he said, “I only meant that being guarded will serve you well. That said, you can trust me.” She let out a short laugh. “One of the first things you said to me was that you didn’t trust me, and now you expect me to trust you?” He had said that, blast. And he’d meant it. Did he trust her now? Not completely. But then the list of those he trusted completely was quite succinct—his parents and his sister. “How about we give it a try?” There was something about her… Something he wanted to discover. She, like all women, was a mystery. The difference was that he wanted to investigate this one.

Bearing His Name, I thought it was a very funny short story. With the small exception of the stalker

"Owned by the Lion" by Milly Taiden.
I did enjoy but it was just ok. I did like the characters. and was glad to revisit them from a previous book."
the 3rd story, "No Need Fur Love", not really a fan. It was ok, but not great.
