Synopsis

Arie Reynolds is a strong willed, independent woman. Her life as a stuntwoman in movies is enough to keep her fulfilled. After nearly losing her life in an accident, she finds that she has a new “ability” – one that allows her to cross into a parallel reality. When she’s once again faced with her mortality, she must decide how she’ll use her ability — will it save her life or will she end up losing the one thing that matters most?
Cole Mercer is a charming firefighter who’s used to getting what he wants out of life, until he fell for Arie. Through the difficulties of her career and a seemingly impossible choice, can Arie make the right choice? Can Cole tame this spitfire’s heart or will he be the one that ends up getting burned?

Excerpt

Graham leaned in and wrapped his arms around Arie. She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed. They stayed in that position for awhile — Graham tried to comfort the sister who thought she’d lost it all, all the while not knowing that some days she was the only one that gave him the strength to go on.

My Review

This book was definitely the best of the series.  So much smart-ass comments, love it!
This book was mainly about Arie, and her relationship with Palmer.  We see a lot of Palmer but not alot of the other characters from books 1 &2.
There are some semi-steamy sex scenes, cool.
Definitely, some personality from Palmer in this book.
Arie was such a kick-ass here, we do see her personality change-but not too much.  I'm glad Ms. Mathis did not try to change Arie much throughout this book, it just wouldn't have been right.
And of course, this wouldn't be great without the little surprises sprung at us throughout this book.
I really enjoyed this book the most out of the three! And thank you Ms. Mathis for that little preview of Brock's story at the end!!!
