Really good story.
I did find it a little odd that Allegra traveled to Morocco with just a maid/companion, No others with her. I mean for the time period and all that is highly unusual. Although, it did help. I mean some things in the story might not have flowed so smoothly.
Loved the instant chemistry between Allegra and Shaheen. Allegra has something about her that men are instantly attracted to her, and the allure of her being a highly sought after courtesan helps. But Shaheen actually wanted to stay away from her yet was automatically drawn to her as everyone else.

There are still some twist or mysteries, not much.
Love and sex scenes are very well written that isn't not trashy or vulgar. Monica Burns writes an excellent story. I look forward to reading the other story of hers I have on my kindle.

A bit of violence, some I wanted to skip over but it was very brief.
