About the Book
Ms. Jefferies does it again! A truly wonderful story of true love, lost love and reunited love.
This story really captured my attention, but not from the very beginning, It took me just a chapter then I was hooked.
We have stolen jewels, deceit, lies, false names, and so much more!!
I felt for Isa/Sophie, she went through so much! But even though she grew up, she was still so very naive I just couldn't believe it. How do you NOT realize someone is infatuated with you if he is visiting to practically everyday?
Ms. Jefferies tries to stay close to real facts about the time period as she can. I love how in this book, as with the others she gives us the real facts at the end.
All the characters in this book are so believable, even if the heroine is naive.
Victor, was a great hero. He stood up for his wife no matter what, and stayed true to her even while apart for 10 years! What a man. Even when he has doubts of the truth, he still loved Isa and protected her.
I'm just glad Isa grew a backbone at the end of the book!
