Review: Forgiving Lies by Molly McAdams

17264459
Kindle Edition, 371 pages
Published October 29th 2013 by William Morrow & Company

A matter of secrets...
Undercover cop Logan "Kash" Ryan can't afford a distraction like his new neighbor Rachel Masters, even if she's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. To catch a serial killer, he needs to stay focused, yet all he can think about is the feisty, long-legged coed whose guarded nature intrigues him

A matter of lies...
Deceived and hurt before, Rachel would rather be a single, crazy cat lady than trust another guy, especially a gorgeous, tattooed bad boy with a Harley, like Kash. But when his liquid-steel eyes meet hers, it takes all of Rachel's will-power to stop herself from exploring his hot body with her own.

A matter of love...
As much as they try to keep it platonic, the friction between them sparks an irresistible heat that soon consumes them. Can Kash keep Rachel's heart and her life safe even as he risks his own? Will she be able to forgive his lies ... or will she run when she discovers the dangerous truth?

OMG, I LOVED this book!! Once I started it I could NOT put it down!!

My heart broke for Rachel from the start. It's been almost 4 years since she lost her parents in a horrible accident. All she has left is her best friend Candice and her family who take her in as their own. Rachel has always had a crush on Candice's cousin Blake but over the years that has faded. For the last nine months Blake has tried his best to get Rachel to go out on a date with him only for her to refuse over and over again. Eventually Candice talks her into giving in. The first 2 dates with Blake go really well and then suddenly things begin to change.

Logan "Kash" Ryan...OMG Holllyy Swoooon!!! He is a tattooed, pierced, motorcycle riding, pancake eating, sour patch kid loving, guitar playing, sexy alpha male undercover cop from Florida. After a violent gang puts a hit out on Kash and his best friend and partner Mason, they get reassigned on a case in Texas to find the Carnation Killer. Once in Texas they move in a apartment across from Rachel and Candice and soon a friendship forms. Logan knows with his job that a relationship is the last thing he needs but there is just something about Rachel. He can't stay away from her. Because of all the hurt she has suffered Rachel keeps her heart guarded. Will Kash be able to break thru and find his way to her heart? She tries to hide her attraction for him so much she almost gives you whiplash with her feelings but Kash describes it perfectly.

"You're like Sour Patch Kids candy."
"What the hell?"
"Sour....then sweet."

I loved the relationship between Kash and Rachel. She tries so hard to fight her feelings for him but who could possible resist a man like Kash? Eventually Rachel can't hold back any longer and boy does my kindle get steamy!!

"Rachel, if we do this....I'm all in. I want all of you....need all of you."

"No one has ever made me feel like my heart is flying away but still holding me to this earth. No one has ever made me feel so at peace and crazy with one look. No one has ever made me feel so in love and terrified at the same time. No one until you."

What happens when Blake can't let go of Rachel? Will Kash be able to keep her safe?

When the truth about Kash finally comes out, will Rachel be able to fogive him or will his secret destroy them?

HOLY COW that epilogue!!! I mean REALLY??!! I am dying over here!!!

I loved Mason "Mase" I am hoping he gets his own book later in the future!! He was such a sweetheart when it came to Rachel. I just hope he doesn't end up with Candice unless she makes some big changes. I understand Blake was her cousin but I can't understand how she never believed a word Rachel told her!! Could she not see the huge change in Rachel? By the end she changed her attitude some but I def don't think Rachel should have been as forgiving with her as she was.

Go one click this book now!! I can't keep going on or I will give it all away but this is a DEF must read!! March 4th cannot come soon enough for me!!

 Molly McAdams
Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and furry four-legged daughters. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
