Mallory Dunlap has finally made something of her life and is proud of how far she has come. She has learned how to deal with myriad OCD and PTSD issues all on her own, conquering the demons of an abusive childhood. Her job at Sanderson Enterprises as the assistant to Arrick Sanderson Sr., is rewarding and lucrative, and she is content as a single girl with a cat, living alone in the bustling city of New York.

Her best friend, Trish, makes her get out once in a while and on one fateful night she is approached by a tall, handsome, smooth talking playboy. He introduces himself as Eric, and before she knows it, she’s spent the night with the big stranger. Her intent was to never see him again, and although her mind won’t let her think of anything else, she continues on with her life.

It isn't until a few days later when he appears at her place of work, seemingly oblivious that she was the girl he’d just spent Saturday night with. His arrogant indifference confuses and infuriates her. What’s worst, he is her boss’s son and when she is assigned to “babysit” him, refusing is not an option.

Delayed Surrender follows the path of Mallory Dunlap and Arrick Sanderson Jr. Mallory Dunlap is the assistant to Arrick Sanderson Sr, CEO of Sanderson Enterprises. She has dedicated the past 5 years to her job. She suffers from PTSD and has to have things in order or her world doesn’t rotate like it should. What will she do when Arrick Sanderson Jr turns out to be a one night stand that she can’t seem to forget? Will she be able to do her job and keep her feelings to herself?
Arrick is a HOT, sexy, and rich Dom. He is known in the BDSM community as The King Dom and has a reputation of being the one who will never settle for just one submissive. When he is forced by his father to learn the family business he doesn’t know what he is in for. What will happen when the one night stand that he felt so strongly about turns out to be his assistant? Will he be able to move past her fears and find the submissive that lives underneath the surface?
I thought this was a good book. I thought that some of the descriptions were a little odd, but it added humor to the book that helped counter act the seriousness. Arrick was definitely a Dom that is for sure. He never gave up on Mallory. There were a few grammar issues but they didn’t take away from the story. There was one scene that I really didn’t approve of but it worked for the story and that is all that matters.
If you are looking for a BDSM novel with a rich alpha male with a possessive side, this one is for you! I look forward to reading Delayed Surrender 2.

Mallory and Arrick are attempting to be a couple. His somewhat sadistic need to dominate her in the bedroom is a constant issue between the pair. She is a survivor of past abuse and his need to inflict pain upon his lover is proving difficult for her to handle. She is coping, and he is patient, but she is afraid of where he wishes to escalate.

Arrick’s mother hates her and thinks she is far too low to date her son, and in an attempt to relieve some pressure, he takes Mallory on a weekend getaway to his mentor’s home in the country. Hendrick welcomes the pair, but everything went sour in the blink of an eye. Mallory goes home alone, and Arrick tells her it is over.

Mallory is heartbroken and she falls into a deep, suicidal depression that lasts months. Her friend Trish helps her and slowly she starts to heal and mend. She takes a new job with more responsibility, which motivates and distracts her. On the opening night of the new agency, Arrick Sanderson Jr. appears and pleads for her forgiveness.

She is just beginning to recover and live again. Will she succumb to the man she considers her soul mate?

Delayed Surrender 3 is the continuation of the path to love for Mallory Dunlap and Arrick Sanderson Jr.
Arrick is a hot, sexy, and rich Dom who has made a massive mistake. He has a lot to make up for and is determined to do everything he can to make things right with Mallory. He takes his time and seduces Mallory in a way he never has before. He shows her that there is more to his love for her than just domination. Will he be able to make Mallory his collared submissive forever this time? Will his mother come between them again?
Mallory is a beautiful but broken woman. She has been through something that no woman or submissive ever should. She is determined to move on with her life and no let the past rule her life anymore. She is even enjoying the new side of Arrick that she had never seen before. Will her past come back and haunt her and ruin everything that she has worked so hard for? Will she be able to ever fully forgive Arrick?
I think this was the best one of the series. We get to see different sides to the main characters that we haven’t previously seen before. There were a few moments where I had to put my kindle down to keep from throwing it against the wall but it was so worth it. What Mallory had to overcome was unthinkable and I am glad that Arrick was there to help her through it. I really enjoyed this series and hated to see it end. The only negative I have about this series is I believe that it could have been made into one book. I think making it a three part series was really not needed.
If you are looking for a hot Dom who is the King in his community then this one fits the bill.

Arrick has been slowly seducing Mallory over the past few months. She’d hesitantly forgiven him and they were dancing around being a couple yet again. Mallory goes to see Mistress Ariel two times a month and is learning what it means to be a submissive female to a dominate male such as Master Arrick. She has accepted that she likes pain, and that is not a bad thing. Without it, she feels as if she is walking through her life in a semi-numb state of existence.

Arrick has been biding his time, sending her gifts and hand written notes and taking her on real dates. He calls it courting her, old school style. She is ready for more, especially the long enforced state of mutual celibacy that Arrick has insisted on. She offers herself to the man she loves, and he takes over as her mentor, dominate, lover and guide in all things BDSM.

But Mallory’s past life catches up with her, and she is abducted. Arrick hunts for her, intent on killing her captors and saving the woman he loves – but will he find her and save her before it’s too late?
