Meet MMA fighter and Piper Sullivan's roommate extraordinaire, Kelly Black, in this South Boys Novella. This story takes you on Kelly's Black journey to love and overcoming a broken past. Approximately 24,000 words, it can be read as a standalone or for more enjoyment, can be read along with Southbound Surrender.

This is my 4 star review for Southpaw by Raen Smith.
Southpaw in a short novella in the hero’s POV. Kelly “The Dude” Black is a nerdy Biochemist by day and a sexy MMA fighter by night. He isn’t really looking for a steady relationship. He is content to live his life with one night stands and a routine existence that makes him happy. Thing get interesting when he meets Sexy ring girl Olivia on one of his fight nights. She is beautiful, but doesn’t seem to be interested in what he has to offer. What will happen when his accidental roommate Piper takes him to a Yoga class that he will never forget? Will Olivia be able to look past the fighter and see the man underneath?
This was a short and cute read. It gave us a complete novella in a man’s POV which is very rare. Our hero was strong and thankfully so was the heroine. So many times you read stories with a weaker heroine. I think Olivia held her own in this one. She didn’t give in to him easily and he didn’t come off as a complete jerk. The plot was simple yet enticing and it kept me engaged.
I will have to read more from this author in hopes of getting more on Piper and Cash’s story.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a sexy fighter with a nerdy side.
