Review: Undefeated (Fighter Erotic Romance #1) by Scott Hildreth

20439619

Kindle Edition, 268 pages
Published January 1st 2014 by Scott Hildreth Books

WARNING: This book contains scenes of abuse. They are descriptive, heartbreaking, and may cause you to feel certain emotions. If you're incapable of reading about a woman that recovers from an abusive relationship, don't read this book. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Kace Meadows lives in Austin, Texas. Now 26, she has been in an abusive relationship since she was sixteen years old. As abusive as it is, she can’t seem to find a way to allow herself to end it. With her abusive boyfriend, she can’t seem to win.

Shane Dekkar is an unknown, undefeated, and somewhat shy boxer from Compton California. After the death of his grandfather, he moves to Austin and meets Kace by happenstance as she and her boyfriend are in an argument in public. He is drawn to her, and she to him.

When he meets her again two years later, he begins to believe in fate. But, as he prepares for a potential shot at a championship fight, there’s not time in his life or career for a woman.

Shane fights his inner demons by using his fists. On the street or in the ring, Shane does what he does best, he wins at any cost. Unlike Kace, Shane can’t seem to lose.

Undefeated is an extremely romantic erotica novel about fighting. Fighting for what you believe in. Fighting for life. Fighting to live.

And fighting to find love in the most unlikely places.

Be prepared to be moved, touched, stand up and cheer, and cry your eyes out. This book will, without a doubt, knock you unconscious.

CAUTION: Graphic sexual content. This book contains fighting scenes that are descriptive. Additionally, it contains graphic scenes of street fighting that may be perceived as unnecessarily violent. Lastly, the abuse scenes in this book are descriptive, realistic, and emotional.

This is my 5 star review for Undefeated by Scott Hildreth.

Undefeated is about Shane “Shame on” Dekkar and Kace Meadows. Kace is beautiful but she has been in an abusive relationship for almost 10 years so she doesn’t see herself as beautiful. Her abusive jerk of a boyfriend, Josh, treats her like she is no better than the gum stuck to the bottom of his shoe. She is so scared to leave because she is doesn’t think that anyone else will want her. Will she be able to get past her relationship with Josh or will it be the end of her? When a great guy comes into her life will she believe what he tells her?

Shane is a boxer. He fights and trains every day to beat the demons that plague him. He is undefeated and has met a man that can beat him yet. He is smart and has the stamina of a stallion. He is known for his hoodie and his father’s dog tags because he never goes anywhere without either one. He also has a deep hate for men who abuse women. When hidden memories are triggered will they defeat Shane? Will he be able to show Kace that there is more to a relationship that harsh words and pounding fists?

I LOVED Undefeated. I could just eat Shane up! He is absolutely fantastic. I loved how he made Kace feel at ease. He took her problems and made them into something that she could deal with. I admired his fight, his ability to love, and his loyalty. Kace was great. She took on a life of her own. Once she met Shane she became the strong woman that she was always destined to become. I love how the author brought her to life. I thought that Mike, Shane’s best friend, was awesome. Some of the things he done was so serious, and others were just hilarious. I look forward to reading his book; I believe it is going to be just as awesome as he is!

If you are looking for a book about a passionate fighter with a soft side, this book is for you! I look forward to reading more from Scott Hildreth in the future!
