Sawyer Knight is a rock star. He has everything he could ever want; money, fame, and great friends. He has everything going for him, but he has always felt like something was missing from his life. Jake Reed is a hot shot security buff. He is good at his job and everyone knows he is the best. When he is hired as Souls of the Knight’s new head of security he vows that not only will he protect his lost friend, Sawyer Knight, with his life, but he will win his heart in the process. Will Sawyer be able to get over his image for the price of love? Will Jake overstep his boundaries and scare Sawyer off?

I really enjoyed reading Sawyer and Jake’s story but I felt like there were a few things missing. I would have loved to see more non sexual interactions between Jake and Sawyer. Don’t get me wrong, the sex was hot and I loved it but I felt like the emotional connection that the guys seemed to have really had no backbone. Yes they were childhood friends but 10 years have passed since they have seen or spoken to one another. I believe that adding a little more romantic interaction between the two would have pushed this up to a 5 star for me. Oh and Did I mention that the sex was HOTTT!! I have read some steamy m/m scenes before but some of the scenes in this book made my kindle catch fire! The secondary characters were definitely something else. Matt, oh my goodness, that man needs his mouth washed, lol. If you are looking for a hot, sexy, male/male book, then this one is definitely one for you!

I have read and enjoyed Nicola’s entire book list and I will continue to read the books that she releases in the future!
