"No secret stays hidden forever."

A phone call from an old friend sets Dr. Giovanni Vecchio back on the path of a mystery he'd abandoned years before. He never expected a young librarian could hold the key to the search, nor could he have expected the danger she would attract. Now he and Beatrice De Novo will follow a twisted maze that leads from the archives of a university library, through the fires of Renaissance Florence, and toward a confrontation they never could have predicted.

A Hidden Fire is a paranormal mystery/romance for adult readers. It is the first book in the Elemental Mysteries Series.

Imagine my delight when I discovered the book I bought for .99 was GREAT!! I completely love the spin that Hunter gave the characters in this book. She reels you in from the start and frankly I didn't put this book down till I was finished. "B" is such a well written character (makes ya want to be a librarian for sure lol) and Giovanni....well let's just say there is NO shortage of 'sparks' with him! (you must read to understand this fully!) Even the supporting characters are so well written that you fall in love with them as well. No wonder Hunter has made this into a series, there is just no way that you could not!! Finally an author that can give a back story for the story with out boring the hell out of you in the process!! Thank you Elizabeth!!! :D And I don't think that I have ever read a supernatural book where vampires were linked to the elements like in this story, if ever at all. Thank you for that great spin also! I hope the rest in this series are just as good as the first!!
