"I'm not asking you to forgive me, I'm begging you to."

When Lexi returns home to Texas after being gone for ten years, she is surprised by how welcoming her distant family has become. But the real surprise is on them when Lexi doesn't come back alone.

Questions are asked,
Secrets are held,
Hearts are broken.

Lexi now has to explain to her family why at only twenty four years old she has a nine year old son. She also has to explain to Zander how he is unknowingly a father after all these years, and how her feelings never changed even with all this time apart.
Two weeks before he is about to get married.

Now decisions need to be made.

As Lexi makes a mess of things, she also starts to make a new life for her and her son. She now has to decide if sticking around or heading back to Ohio is for the best.

This New Adult Contemporary Romance is for mature readers, at least 17+ in age, due to adult situations.

I am giving 5 snowflakes to Forgive Me by Ashley Beale for Eskimo Princess Book Blog.

Forgive Me follows the path of Lexi and Zander, two young people who fall in love at the young age of 13. However, that love is ripped away from them when Lexi is unexpectedly sent from Texas to Ohio to live with her grandmother. Lexi stayed gone for 10 years before she returned to Texas with her son Justin because her mother was very sick and not expected to live. Lexi is an independent, smart, yet broken woman. She had to raise her son by herself with very little help. She done the best she could, but was it enough? How will she feel seeing the mother that sent her away again after all this time? Will her family accept her back into their life, even though it wasn’t her fault she was sent away?

Zander is a sexy, hardworking man on the verge of getting married. When Lexi steps back into his life with a son he never knew about he is shocked. He is angry and justifiable so. When they were children you could feel the love he had for her was true. He always put her first, even at the age of 14. What will he do when he finds out she has kept his son from him for almost 10 years? What will happen when his fiancé, Emerson, finds out about him and Lexi having a 9 year old child together?

I really liked the story line of this story. I feel for Zander because he missed so much with Justin, but I can understand why Lexi stayed away for so long. We see in the beginning how she was treated and I wouldn’t want to open up my child to that kind of hurt either. There were some issues that had me saying “what in the world” or “Why would they do that?” but those kinds of moments are what make a book what it is. Did I agree with some of the things that went on? No, but it is not meant for me to. Forgive Me kept me turning the pages way into the night. The only negative I could find was that in some places the jump in time was not always clearly defined, but it didn’t make things hard to follow.

I received Forgive Me as an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.
