Everything by N.B. Baker Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway

Title: Everything
By: NB Baker
Publication Date: February 20, 2014
Genre: Romance

A shocking tale of romance and deception, N.B. Baker’s Everything is an impressive debut that proves no secret is ever really buried. Ella Stone is struggling to pick up the pieces of her life.

Abandoned by her parents when she was an infant, both of the grandparents who raised her are now gone. Facing her future for the first time, Ella decides to move to Detroit in order to be near her two best friends. After a misguided relationship with a man she finds in bed with another woman, Ella begins doubting her life-changing move. That is, until she meets Chance St. John.

When Chance fends off a brutal attack, he and Ella share an instant connection. As the two get to know each other, their passionate exploits both in and out of the bedroom make way for a deeper connection for which neither one was quite prepared. But despite their increasing closeness, Ella can’t shake the feeling that Chance is hiding something from her. His frequent nightmares and skittish responses point to a secret in his past that haunts him still. While Ella attempts to uncover Chance’s mysterious past, her own life takes a turn for the strange. As Everything builds to its explosive climax, Ella must discover the truth before Chance’s dark past consumes them both.

I was not as impressed as everyone else. Don't get me wrong it was a good book, but not excited about it after reading.
The story line was good, the writing was good. The characters, I did love! But for Ellie and Chance's relationship that was supposed to be everything to both of them and at the level it was, Chance withheld some very serious secrets that should have been addressed long long before the end of the story. That to me is some definitely need to know information!!!!
there were times in the book that Time would just skip ahead and it threw me off. I was reading a paragraph, then boom the very next paragraph skipped ahead to like a week later. It was strange.
The sex scenes were all build up and great writing for the foreplay, then bam they were done. It was like "wait, what".
We pretty much know what all the main characters do for a living, but we don't know about Justin. But know he likes to party or celebrate as he says. Don't get me wrong, Justin is a funny guy and loved him.
I just felt like it could have been a whole lot better, like not skipping ahead without a pause. Giving up a little bit more detail on certain things. Not the kind of detail of this house was this... She wore this designer and color but details on important things.
I won a signed copy from the author in some blog contest.
