The Librarian's Vampire Assistant by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff Release & Giveaway

The Librarian's Vampire Assistant, book #3

Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

  Synopsis:
From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes an uncomfortably hilarious Mystery with a heaping help of sexual frustration, THE LIBRARIAN’S VAMPIRE ASSISTANT, Book Three. (Yep! It’s a STAND-ALONE. But why not read them all because…fun!) FALLING IN LOVE WITH A LIBRARIAN JUST CAN’T GET MORE AWKWARD… Michael Vanderhorst is not your usual vampire. For starters, he works in a library, is in love with Miriam, his hot nerdy human boss who has no clue what he is, and he looks like a college student. In reality, Michael is an ancient deadly vampire, an ex-assassin, and is currently the de facto king of his kind ever since their ruling party disappeared. To where? He doesn’t know, but if he wants his life back, he’ll have to find out. (Mystery!) Especially because a civil war is brewing, and being king makes his librarian a mark for his enemies. She is, after all, his biggest weakness. With a global uprising about to explode, Michael must give her the protection of his army. Only one problem: She must become his queen first. But every attempt he makes to tell her the truth is met with extreme hostility. “Vampires aren’t real. That’s crazy talk, Michael!” Clearly, the topic frightens her. With time running out and her life on the line, Michael is left with one option: Marry her. Without her knowing. Can he pull it off? And what will happen when the fight comes to their door?

Vampire by Blood by Cyndi Faria Release Blitz & Giveaway

USA Today Bestselling Author Cyndi Faria presents the first book in her Faeted Vampire series, Vampire By Blood!
FREE on Kindle Unlimited
Necromancy isn’t pretty and Vampires aren’t exactly dead.

USA Today’s Best-Selling Author Cyndi Faria, introduces Vampire by Blood, book one of her new Faeted Vampire series…

When a deceased witch informs Tricia McIntyre she’s a fae princess who’s being hunted by an ancient vampire, she turns to her best friend Sergeant Riley Sweetwater. Problem is, he’s buried in the town cemetery, and she hates him for dying on her. Until she uncovers his secret.

Tricia and Riley were never meant to cross paths after he went dark. Especially since he’s experiencing some kind of immortal transition of his own. But they do, and she’s hunting the same vamp responsible for killing his squad.

Forced together, Tricia’s trying not to kill Riley with her uncontrolled Fae powers, while he’s struggling not to drink her dry. As they must battle their love-hate-lust relationship, they search for the one who holds the secrets to saving humankind before a dark supernatural destroys them all.
She’d appear more threatening if she wasn’t wearing picnic attire. But when she raises her hand, I freeze, quickly deciding she’d be deadly wearing nothing at all. Her beauty—what I’ve glimpsed of it—is as lethal as any weapon. I shouldn’t notice her, but my heart bangs, demanding me to give her a hard glance, as the image of Tricia forms.
I force my legs to stiffen and bite back the shudder of grief-laden desire that races through me. I’m a soldier to the core. I’ve taken an oath to protect my country from otherworldly creatures. But her magic calls to me. Stand your ground, I order myself. Fae are known to mimic their surroundings. This fae is no different. Perhaps, she knows who I am and has disguised herself as Tricia.
“I asked you a question.” Her light blazes and sparks snap around the aura.
So why am I hesitating? I should fire a warning shot. Except, my curiosity worms its way to my index finger, and I ease off the trigger. She could be the last of her immortal kind here on earth, this princess everyone is searching for, and a prize my enemies might trade for information leading me to my missing squad. It’s another way for me to earn General Kane’s respect, so he’ll continue to feed me leads regarding my men.
I scope out the cobwebbed room, sheet-covered furniture, and know without a doubt the owner’s long absent. “The woman who lived here is gone. But how much could your grandmother have mattered to you if you’re learning about her absence from a stranger.”
A second blast explodes from her hand.
Light blisters across my cheek, and suddenly there’s a gaping hole in the wall to my right. The room fills with choking, chalky dust, and I throw my free arm over my mouth and nose in time to see her stagger back and check out her own damn hand. Next, she’s talking to someone at her side, only there’s no one there that I can see. Is she mad or does she have power beyond my understanding? Probably a bit of both, I decide.
“Bullets have no power over me,” she blurts, again checking the space beside her. “Unless you want another, you need to leave now, or start talking fast.”
I pull my brows tight, and every muscle in my hand readies to engage, then I see the red streak leaking down her arm—weakness in her I can use to get myself out of this fix. “It’s your word against mine. How do I know you’re not trespassing?”
Again she pauses, as if listening to the open forest behind her. “This is my family’s property. I’ve alerted the police. They’ll be here any minute.”
“Who’s with you? State your names. Do it now!” I take aim.
“You’re the one who better spill the beans or you’ll end up in worse shape than that wall,” she threatens.
Everything in me is telling me I’m in deep shit. That I should take her out. Except, hiding in the sassy timber of her voice is a thread of something…shaking insecurity…and sweet familiarity. I peer closer, skirting around the crumbled sheetrock that crackles underfoot, as if her very presence is a siren calling the part of me I’ve buried to wake. From what I’ve read, fae cheat, steal, and lie. This creature is no different. “Cell service is dead out here. Lower your hand so we can talk,” I bargain, fearing for my life and the loss the world would have if I’m forced to kill the rare creature.
She cocks her curvy hip. “There’s a bigger liar in this room than me. So tell me how you’re here, alive, when you’re supposed to be dead, Sergeant Riley Sweetwater?”

April Reading Challenge UPdate

I am having my own personal reading challenge.  I will update at the end of each month or beginning of the following month.
I am so behind on posting this and behind on  my reading. I'm still 11 books behind schedule according to Goodreads.

I have set my goal on Goodreads.  At the moment my goal is only 90 books for the year.  Last year, I only read 82 books, and my goal was at least 100 (I think,I've already forgotten) So, if I see I am reading a bit more, I can up my goal.

Here is my 2018 Goodreads List: http://bit.ly/2EeeapQ

I'd love to hear how you are doing too!!!  What are your reading goals for this year?

I do have so many books on my TBR list, so I am going to try to read more of my older books.  I am still taking SOME ARC books, but not many.  I really need to get through the older ones.
Here are some of the genres I "plan" on reading:

» Young Adult
» Military (Romance)
» Time-Travel (Romance)

» Anthology

I did get 8 books in this month, and I hope to continue on this streak.  I have loads and loads of books on my TBR list.  I truly have books stacked all over the house.  lol

*If you wish to join me, you can!  You can use my graphic or make your own.  Please just credit my blog.  And each month post your link it the comments on this post or my monthly post.  (My monthly post will also be on our Facebook page)

Alisa's Review: Singe White Vampire by Lynsay Sands

5282798
Paperback, 369 pages
Published December 1st 2008

"Lucern." Successful biographer of family, books recently categorized as "paranormal romance." Something of a recluse. Hates crowds, aggressive women. Doesn't like sunbathing, garlicky dinners or religious symbols. Likes old-fashioned values; spicy Mexican dishes; warm, nice-smelling neck; and plump red lips. Stronger than ten men and can vanish in the blink of an eye. Currently unaware he's seeking a woman to share eternity.
"Kate C. Leever." Newest editor of Romance at Roundhouse Publishing. Perky, fun. Has recently discovered a legacy author just dying to be broken out. In fact, her career could take off from it. (The tall, dark, handsome writer just needs to be taken to several romance conventions and introduced to his fans...and stopped from acting so strange in public.) Dislikes "difficult, rude, obnoxious, pig-headed writers." Currently she's met the man of her wildest dreams.
OH, DEAR.

Barnes and Noble: http://bit.ly/2Hn0JWp

Loved it, I am so happy to be able to go back to the beginning of this series!
Luc, love him even with his old ways. Even with his gruff attitude, but that is because he is bored with life- as soon as he meets up with Kate he comes out of his shell
Luc believes strongly in the old ways, and is not a fan of "modern women" lol. Until Kate.
There is so much humor in this story, and very little danger (especially compared to later books)

The Unseelie King By Heather Killough-Walden Audiobook Release Day Blitz

Audiobooks Lovers have been eagerly awaiting the release of THE UNSEELIE KING, the sixth book in the KINGS SERIES by Heather Killough-Walden and narrated by Antony Ferguson!

The Unseelie King
(The Kings Series, Bk #6)
By Heather Killough-Walden
Narrated by Antony Ferguson

Blurb:

For thousands of years, two realms of unspeakable magic and mystery have existed in peace side by side. One is a land of light, of kindness, of dreams, and of color. The other is rendered in the gray lines of wickedness and seeped in the unbearable beauty of all that is forbidden. The first is ruled by the Seelie King. The other is ruled by Caliban . . . The Unholy.

Minerva Trystaine has always been the quiet twin, bullied by reality's fierceness into a life of solitary sensitivity. What she witnesses, she feels. Living in a world that breeds one misfortune after another, she has had no choice but to sequester herself from outgoing life and any hope it might have otherwise offered her. She hides in her music, her hopes and dreams silent but for the harmony she gives them upon rare occasion, allowing them to be heard in perfect pitch by the rest of the world. But when Minerva's sister, Selene, is forced into a fantastical realm of supernatural magic and mystery and taken as queen of the seelie kingdom, the twins are reunited with a world they can scarcely remember—but could never forget. They are Wishers. Born of furious magic and fueled by the need for justice, Wishers are the most feared magic users in the fae realms.

Luckily, I have something to barter with that not many people do, and the blood courtesans are very interested in me. My first client turns out to be the man of my dreams, the sexy-as-sin vampire rock star I've lusted after since I was a teen, but he wants nothing to do with me or what I have to offer--and making him accept me may be the only way for me to stay alive. ARC Review: Immortally Yours by Lynsay Sands

33889462
Kindle Edition, 384 pages
Expected publication: September 26th 2017 by Avon

Irresistible chemistry and thrilling suspense combine in this electrifying new installment in New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau series

One hundred and twenty-five years is a long time to nurse a crush. That’s how long it’s been since Beth Argenis first met Cullen “Scotty” MacDonald and he instantly became the star of her most X-rated dreams. Back then, he was rescuing her from a Rogue Immortal. Now Beth’s a Rogue Hunter—a damn good one. She doesn’t need saving anymore, despite what Scotty thinks. What she does need is the fierce, wild desire that finally erupts between them.

Scotty has hesitated to claim Beth as his own. But one explosive kiss confirms what he’s long suspected: She’s his life mate. But Beth is tough, fearless, beautiful…and in immortal danger. Unless he wants to lose her forever, he’ll have to rethink everything he once believed about love and destiny as well as confront an enemy who’s terrifyingly close.

I loved this book.  It helped me get over a minor reading funk.  I have been slacking on reading, then bam! I read this book in a weekend with no problems.
I think every book in this series is fantastic though.
This time around we have quite a few of the UK Rogue Hunters in Canada to help out, nice to see more new people.
Beth and Scotty have quite the history going on between them, and some hot fireworks.
Beth is a survivor, that's for sure.  OMG, the crap she went through in this book plus her actual history.  Not many could get through that.
A Must Read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* I received my copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
