Now a successful journalist, Caroline heads out to report from the front lines of the war in Afghanistan. Love is the last thing on her mind when she crosses paths with Chief Sebastian Hunter.
Will this chance encounter reignite the erotic passion of their past?
This is my 5 snowflake review for The Education of Sebastian
by Jane Harvey-Berrick for Eskimo Princess Book Reviews.
The Education of Sebastian follows the unorthodox romance
between Sebastian and Caroline. Caroline is a beautiful 30 year old woman. She
is unhappily married to an older Naval Officer. She is the perfect wife. She
cooks, cleans irons, runs errands, and warms her husband bed. However, it is
never good enough; to him she is never good enough. He is always complaining
about what she wears, what she cooks, how she looks. He isn’t physically
abusive but dang if he isn’t pretty terrible to her in other ways. She doesn’t
feel like she worth the effort until she meets young Sebastian for the second
time. Will she be able to befriend young Sebastian when he needs her the most?
Will she finally walk away from her 11 year marriage?
Sebastian, sweet Sebastian, is a 17 year old high school
graduate. He is handsome, kind, caring, and has always had to take care of
himself. His parents are beyond horrid and they certainly don’t deserve him as
a son. Sebastian has been in love with Caroline since he was 8 years old. He
knows that she is the one for him, but can he convince her of that? What will happen
when Sebastian finds out that their love could send her to jail?
I was kind of scared going into this one. I didn’t know what
to expect. It is hard to tell how a large age difference is going to affect
your reading experience. In this case, I was pleasantly surprised that it
wasn’t bad. The scenes between Caro and Seb were hot, steamy, yet so filled
with love. Sebastian really did put is love for Caro front and center. There
were times when his age shined through but for the most part he was a mature adult
about everything that they were going through. The writing was easy to follow
and not hard at all to understand. The ending, oh my, I think my heart was in
my throat the whole time. I am glad that I have book two, The Education of
Caroline, at my fingertips so I can dive right in. Speaking of which, off I go
to see where the road leads Sebastian and Caroline next!

This is my 5 star review for The Education of Caroline by
Jane Harvey-Berrick for Eskimo Princess Book Reviews.
The Education of Caroline picks up with the love affair
between Sebastian Hunter and Caroline Verti. This books starts out 10 years
after book one left us broken and needing more. Sebastian Hunter is a 27 year
old Hot, Sexy, and a Marine. He is an expert with several languages and is very
important in war zones. He is also very bitter.
Is the sweet, kind, caring Sebastian lost forever? He has given up on
love and never wants to see Caroline, the woman he was forced to give up so
many years ago. What will happen when Caroline unexpectedly shows up in his
life again? Will Sebastian ever be able to forgive her for not coming back for
him?
Caroline Verti is a free-lance journalist who works mostly
on military assignments. Many of those assignments are in war zones in Iraq and
Afghanistan. She is 40 years old and isn’t scared to go into a disaster zone
because she feels like she has nothing to lose and someone has to get the job
done. She never forgot about Sebastian Hunter, the man who stole her heart so
many years ago. She has struggled without him for over 10 years. What will
happen when Chief Hunter pops back up on her radar? Will she be able to face
him and the anger he holds? Will she ever get the HEA she deserves?
I really liked this novel. It is even better than the first
one of this series. This book brings out so many feelings; love, lust, anger,
fear, and most importantly, forgiveness. This is definitely one emotional
journey you won’t want to miss. The writing is great, the editing is spot on,
and the story will keep you coming back for more. I didn’t want to put my
kindle down. There are even a few surprises in there that you won’t want to
miss out on.
I would recommend this one for anyone who read The Education
of Sebastian and to anyone who is a sucker for second chance romances. Besides who
would want to pass up a sexy, surfing MARINE??!!

This is my 5 star review for The Education of Sebastian and
Caroline as a set with bonus material by Jane Harvey-Berrick for Eskimo
Princess Book Reviews.
This series follows the steamy love affair between young,
Sebastian Hunter, and an older, Caroline Verti Wilson. These two embark on a
secret journey of love and lust when Sebastian is only 17 and Caroline is 30.
These two books span over many years and give us such an emotional ride. There
is fear, love, lust, anger, hurt, pain, and forgiveness. Will these two ever
find their HEA?
I really liked this series and it will definitely go on my
favorites list. There was just something about this forbidden love that sucked
me in. I really didn’t know what to think going in, but with an open mind and a
willing brain I dived right in. I can say I have no regrets. I laughed, I
cried, I hurt when they hurt, and I wanted to throw a punch through the kindle
a time or two. The writing was excellent and the editing was great! The plot
line kept me hooked and I found myself reading way later than I should have
been. I just couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the bonus material. Being
able to read from Sebastian’s POV was refreshing and helped me see him in a
different, deeper light. I loved the extended epilogue as well!
I started writing contemporary romance two years ago. Before that, I didn’t think I could write a sex scene. Turns out I can!
My lucky number is 13 because I was born on the 13th and live near a haunted castle by the ocean. My number one past-time is watching hot surfers get changed into (and out of) their wetsuits.
My husband doesn’t read my books. My mother does.
Writing is my love, my hobby, my total addiction. All my characters are important to me and whisper their stories, even when I’ve finished writing their books. That’s why you’ll often find bonus chapters/out-takes from various books, because those voices just won’t be quiet.
