Teaser 2

“Everett, stand behind us,” I ordered. I didn’t mean to sound forceful and demanding, but his life was at stake. The vultures could seriously hurt him with their bolts. As Nick and I fought back with our lights standing side by side, Everett managed to stay behind us.
I could tell from the way they maneuvered and worked as a team that this group of vultures was smarter. Not only that, their lights moved like whips. Whack! Whack! Shit! One lashed across my shirt and burnt through it. Then I wondered if I could move my light like them. Before I could try, the five vultures joined their bolts into one, and it was coming straight for us.
“Shit!” Nick yelled, combining his light with mine. “Theirs is so much bigger and brighter. Can we take them?” Our light hit theirs, creating a massive spark of light, blinding our visions. The impact caused individual lights to shoot out.
“Hell, yes.”
Feeling like more distance was between Sky and me, I became desperate. I didn’t care if I burnt down this forest. I was going to get to Sky…now. What I was about to do next would drain me, but it was the only thing I could think of.

Did you just see a flash of lightning across the sky on a clear sunny day? It’s not from Mother Nature. It is most likely from Mason Grand, swoon-worthy demigod, one of Zeus’s descendants.

Skylar Rome is supposed to be having the best summer ever before she heads off to college. Little did she know, her whole life was about to change while visiting her cousin. Nearly drowning at the beach due to unknown forces, one of the Grand brothers she’d just met, Mason, saves her life. Cool, collected, mysterious, and dangerously good-looking, Skylar is drawn to him from the start. Though she knows he is the type of guy good girls stayed away from, it seems he is always saving her life, and the attraction was inevitable.

Upon meeting the brothers, strange things begin to happen. When she accidentally kills one of the brothers, it throws her life into turmoil, as they search to find the answers. Implausibly, she gets caught up in a world of the descendants of ancient gods, all who have super powers. Not only is her discovery difficult to accept, evil beings are after her. Running out of time and running for her life, she must unravel a mystery. What do they want from her? Forced into a battle set into motion long before she was born, will she find the answers, or will she die trying?

Read chaps. 1-3 #FromGods @MaryTing US

You have to read book 1, From Gods, before you read this book  But this book is extremely good.  I was completely wrapped up in the story.  Sky is learning more about the Gods, and the Descendants along with their abilities.  Sky is also changing.  Lots of things happen in this story, you will be hanging on the edge of your seat gripping your kindle!  But sadly, we are left with a clif-hanger at the end of this book.  I don't want to wait to find out what is happening!
I had this story half figured out, about who was behind the things going on. But I wasn't fully correct or prepared for what really went down.  It was a shocker, but awesome.
